Why can't I use treated water in a humidifier
  • Although lime is removed from treated water (ion exchanger), sodium ions are added to it at the same time. The descaler cartridge is unable to filter these sodium ions, and they leave behind a white dust.
The humidifier is not discharging any mist
Although the A7533 Refill granules were replaced recently, the humidifier is not discharging any mist
  • There may be too many granules in the Demineralization cartridge.
  • Remove some of the Refill granules so that there is about 1 cm. of free space below the brim.
  • The unit may require descaling; we recommend using A7417 EZCal Cleaner & Descaler or A100 EZCal PRO
The humidifier smells bad
  • The water in the water tank and water base has been there for a long time and needs to be replaced. 
  • The appliance is dirty and needs to be cleaned.

The empty water indicator is flashing even though the water tank is full
  • There may be too many granules in the Demineralization cartridge.
  • Remove some of the Refill granules so that there is about 1 cm. of free space below the brim.
  • The water indicator may be stuck
  • Descale the unit and wipe with the cleaning brush
When do I need to replace the A250 Aqua Pro Filter
  • Test your water hardness using the included water test strip
  • Every 2-6 months depending on the test results 
When do I have to replace the A7531 Demineralization cartridge and A7533 Refill granules

  • Every 2-3 months, depending on the water hardness and frequency of humidifier start-ups.
  • When the amount of discharged mist decreases.
  • When white lime deposits form around the appliance.
What kind of accessories are required for a humidifier

We recommend the A200 Hydro Cell to keep the humidifier more fresh all season long

The A250 Aqua Pro FilterA7531 Demineralization cartridge, and A7533 Refill granules ensure that the water mist is free of lime scale.

We recommend the A7417 EZCal or A100 EZCal PRO cleaning and descaling agent for BONECO humidifiers.

Can I use the 7146 travel humidifier at home or at the office
  • In principle, this appliance is designed for use in hotel rooms when traveling. However, this appliance can be used at home or at the office.
  • Only the direct surroundings are humidified.
  • Please practice careful cleaning of the appliance as it does not contain an A7531 Demineralization cartridge.
What is the required placement for humidifiers

Why shouldn't I set my humidity to lower than 40% or higher than 60%?
  • The optimal humidity level according to scientific research is 40-60% relative humidity. This is the recommended range of humidity levels for us to avoid the symptoms caused by the lack of humidity or too much humidity. Staying within this range will help you feel better and fresh.
